Mr. Kenneth Harris Waters Sr., age 72, a resident of 1890 Gray Road, Chocowinity, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at his home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Tuck. Warren Taylor, Bubba Gerard, Roy Hicks, Danny Cox, Johnny Moore and Jack McGowan will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Waters was born in Beaufort County on May 3, 1939, to the late Arthur Thomas Waters and Nellie Harris Waters. On March 28, 1964, he married Carolyn Taylor Clark who survives. He was a graduate of Bath High School and then went on to serve in the United States Army. He was formerly employed with Waters Oil Co., Alligood Owens, Taylor Oil Co. and Swain Gas Co. as a maintenance man and was owner of Waters Produce in Chocowinity.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn of the home, two sons; Kenneth Harris Waters Jr. of Chocowinity, Keith Waters and wife Karen of Chocowinity and two grandchildren; Jalynne Waters and Christian Waters. He was preceded in death by two brothers; William Asa Waters and Arthur Thomas Waters.

The family received friends Monday at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
