Reach Out and Read

Children at Washington Pediatrics wait excitedly while C.J. Wilson autographs a football on Friday. Wilson visited the pediatrics offices to read to children through the Reach Out and Read (ROAR) program. ROAR’s mission is to help young children who have a higher risk of reading failure by promoting literacy skills. The program gives out around 3,000 books to children ages 6 months to 5 years old when they visit Washington Pediatrics.
