Philip Jonathan Ange, age 35, a resident of 471 Black Jack Simpson Road, Greenville, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Danny Allen. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Philip was born in Craven County on April 10, 1976, son of Larry Norman Ange who survives and the late Catherine Farias. He was a 1994 graduate of West Craven High School and attended East Carolina University. Philip married the former Rachel Carol Register on April 7, 2002, who survives. He had worked at Builders Supply in Kinston.
Philip is survived by his father: Larry of the home; his wife Rachel of Trenton, N.C.; a stepson: Marcus Carroll Reece of Trenton; a stepdaughter: Traci Kristen Stanberry and her husband Joshua of Trenton; a paternal grandmother: Harriett Ange of Washington; three brothers: Doug Ange of Ayden, Eric Ange of Gastonia, N.C. and Alex Ange of Greenville; two step-grandchildren: Alexis Ciara Stanberry and Zaelynn Mercedes Stanberry, both of Trenton, three nephews: Tyler, Joshua and David Ange and a niece: Hailey Ange.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Philip’s father located at 471 Black Jack Simpson Road, Greenville.
