Artisans sought for craft show

Regional artists and craftsmen are invited to participate in the 2011 Down East Fall Arts & Craft Show to be held on Oct. 29 at the Courthouse Square in Swan Quarter. Hours for the show are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
This annual event is presented by the Hyde County Arts Committee.
This will mark the sixth year of the event, which has grown steadily each year as more artists and craftsmen and women participate, according to a news release from the Beaufort County Arts Council.
Unique gifts and one-of-a-kind creations will be available for shoppers interested in finding that special present for any occasion, the release reads.
Swan Quarter Fire Department will be on hand selling food beginning at 11 a.m.
Live music will be provided throughout the day.

The event is being presented in cooperation with the arts council with support from Hyde County government, East Carolina Bank, Tideland Electric Membership Corp. and a Regional Arts Partner Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.
