What is the purpose of the advertising in the paper that says USA.Gov 1-800-Fed-Info? Who pays for these ads and what is the purpose? Editor’s note: The USA.gov ads are called “house ads.” Essentially, they’re “filler” ads used to fill gaps in pages. These free, public-domain ads typically offer messages on behalf of nonprofits or government entities.
