Katie Olivia Ambrose Foxwell, a resident of Suffolk, Va., died Nov. 10, 2011, in her home.
She was born in Beaufort County on March 15, 1937. Katie graduated from Bath High School in 1957 and worked on the farm with her late parents, William E. and Modie Boyd Ambrose, until her marriage to John Edward Foxwell on Nov. 19, 1957. She lost her beloved husband on Aug. 15, 2004.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk, with the Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
