Ben and Wendy Whisner of Greenville, NC, announce the birth of their son Jacob Benjamin Whisner on January 6, 2012, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Jacob weighed 9 pounds, 2.5 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long. He has a brother and sister, Tyler and Alexis. The mother is the former Wendy Cayton.

Maternal grandparents are Carl and Annette Cayton of Aurora, NC.

Paternal grandparents are Marie Whisner of Bailey, NC, and the late Dennis Whisner, and Jerry and Kathy Barnes of Stantonsburg, NC.
