Mr. and Mrs. William Augustus Oden, Jr. of Washington are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Rodman Oden of Greenville, to James Thomas Woodard, also of Greenville. Dr. Woodard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary White Woodard of Reidsville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Owen Guion Rodman of Washington, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Augustus Oden of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. Gilbert Etheridge Woodard of Kill Devil Hills, formerly of Conway, and the late Mrs. Woodard, also of Conway, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Muse Bareford of Saluda, Virginia.

The wedding is planned for 5:30 in the afternoon on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Washington. A reception will follow at the home of the bride-to-be’s parents. An open invitation is extended to family and friends.
