Dear Community:

Hunger. Most of us don’t even think about it. We grab a snack or eat a meal every few hours if we need it or not.

We had the honor of having Sally Love, director of Eagle’s Wings, as our guest speaker recently. She gave a very informative presentation of the behind-the-scene operation of Eagle’s Wings. The need is so great right now, especially since Hurricane Irene. I had to hold back my tears when she spoke of the many children who go to bed hungry right here in Beaufort County.

It’s great that many of us helped out at Christmas, but the need goes on every day of the year. I’m asking the community to let’s all pull together and, if you are able, to please make a donation to this worthwhile cause.

Being Really Hungry! Think about it.
