The salon offers a range of hair-care services, including perms, coloring, styling and more, said Smith.

Manicures and pedicures are also on the menu of services offered by the salon, she said.

Chateau 107 boasts three hair stylists — Smith, Cherry and Michelle Smith — and a receptionist.

Though a number of clients are served by appointment, the salon also takes walk-ins whenever possible, Smith said.

Regulars hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, or after 6 p.m. by appointment.

Asked to forecast the future of the business, Smith said, “We see changing things structurally, but just maintaining our good reputation is all that we really look forward to.”

As for what sets them apart from their competitors, Cherry said, “The atmosphere.”

The salon is decorated with a few antiques, with old dressers serving as stylists’ stations and a few prints adorning the walls — part of a decorative scheme endorsing the co-owners’ creation of a homey feel.
