Summer Woodard, executive director of the Greater Pamlico Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, addresses the Washington (noon) Rotary about the efforts of Red Cross locally, nationally and internationally. Volunteers are asking for donations to the local Red Cross during the month of March, which is National Red Cross Month. The Red Cross provides group and individual volunteer help, food, shelter, clothing and financial assistance to those in need during times of natural disasters.
