Parlez vous francais? Oui or non? BCCC’s Division of Continuing Education will offer a class in conversational French that will help students communicate with French-speakers in their native language.

The class will be conducted from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning April 3 and ending May 22, in Room 826 of Building 8, on the BCCC campus. The registration fee is $65. The instructor is Phedora Johnson, a Washington High School teacher who studied in Paris.

The 24-hour course will be presented in a scenario-oriented format that takes students on shopping trips, a stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and a visit to the “Mona Lisa” at the Louvre.

Each scenario will incorporate relevant vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, and specific concepts of French grammar. Students will be empowered to both speak and write in French.

Students should bring note-taking materials to class. Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded 2.4 continuing-education units. Class size is limited so preregistration is encouraged.
