He’s coming back!

Two years ago, Daniel Rodriquez came to Washington and played to a full house. Now, as one of the five headliners for the 36th season of the Beaufort County Concert Association, the former New York City Singing Policeman, who wowed the nation following 9/11 with his rendition of “God Bless America,” is coming again. He has expanded his repertoire to opera, as well as Broadway hits and old favorites. Plus, he is bringing his wife, Marla Kavanaugh, who won praise from San Francisco critics as “the voice of a sorrowing angel.”

BCCA’s 2012-2013 concert-season membership campaign is under way. This year’s campaign has a number of returning favorites. NCCA has kept the price from the past for an economical total of five concerts for $45 ($55 for reserved seats).

One new wrinkle this year, to make it even easier to pay for memberships, is BCCA has set up a Pay Pal account on its website so payments may be made with credit cards.

The website — www.gobcca.org — displays all the particulars of five outstanding performances by talent with national reputations. To renew memberships, current members should use the form mailed to them. A new member paying by check should fill out the form on the website and mail it with his or her check. To pay for either a renewal or new membership, a credit card may be used.
