Mary Clark Alligood

SUMTER, S.C. — Mary Clark Alligood, wife of Burl Alligood, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at her home.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Clark and the late Selma McLahorn Clark. Mrs. Alligood was a member of First Baptist Church, the Azalea Garden Club and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors besides her husband include a son, Eric B. Alligood (Teresa) of Greenville and four grandchildren, Ashleigh Alligood, Eric C. Alligood, Gage Alligood and Anna Alligood.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Terry Alligood and Melissa “Missy” Alligood.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Barber and the Rev. Charles Clanton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
