Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

I have enjoyed watching the cyclists pass by my house this weekend. I’ve also had a sense of fear each time one passed by. This fear was caused by their route taking them north through the Douglas Crossroads intersection. This area is dangerous enough in a motorized vehicle. Please address this before the next cycling event takes place and/or a tragedy occurs.

I have heard that AIDS and herpes are on the rise. Please be safe and careful. If you don’t care about yourself, care about your mate. If you can’t be good, be careful. Wear condoms, or just don’t do anything at all. AIDS is a disease you can’t get rid of.

I think marriage should be a man and a woman only.

I’m told we need tolls on the ferry. The ones who use it don’t pay for it. Why should the ones of use who don’t use it pay for it?  The ones who use it need to pay for it.

To the person who sent in the negative comment about the bikers on the road: boy, do you need to get a life.
