The Beaufort County Health Department will be hosting a Dog Walk in celebration of their three-month Heart Healthy Community Challenge. The event will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday in Chocowinity at the Recreation Complex (N.C. Highway 33 East). There will be incentives, handouts and prize drawings held.

Those interested in attending can bring their dog and come out to the event.

Don’t have a dog? The Beaufort County Health Department will be partnering with Animal Control. Dogs from the Animal Shelter will be available for walking.

The rain date is scheduled from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday.
