A mother and daughter face drug charges after an arrest last week netted cocaine and heroin. Amelia Jenkins, 50, and Antoinette Marie Jenkins, 28, both of 18907 Highway 33 East, Edward, were arrested along with three others by the Beaufort Country Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit.

According to a press release, the drug unit had made several heroin and cocaine controlled buys from Antoinette Jenkins before executing the search warrant on the Highway 33 residence. Found at the scene were cocaine, packaged for resale, drug manufacturing materials and paraphernalia.

Amelia Jenkins, William Lenard Hardy, 65, of 565 Bonnerton Road, Aurora, Tommie Lee Jacobs, 40, of 1979 Maules Point Road, Blounts Creek, and David Stilley, 50, of 18980 Highway 33 East, Edward, were charged with cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession.

Antoinette Jenkins was charged with two counts each of possession with intent to sell cocaine and possession with intent to sell heroin, maintaining a dwelling to facilitate drug activity and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

“There was crack-cocaine manufacturing material all over the residence where they were hanging out,” said a spokesman from the drug unit. “It was pretty apparent they were all using when we made the entrance.”
