Grover Hester, age 80, a resident of Greenville, died Friday, May 11, 2012. Funeral services will be private. Mr. Hester, a native of Gaston County, lived the majority of his life in Pitt County.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nita Hester; son, Walter Hall and wife Joan of Greenville; daughters, Terri Tyer and husband Jeff of Greenville, Susanne Williams and husband Steve of Kernersville, and Malinda Heath and husband Jerry of Chocowinity; grandchildren, Chad Robinson of Washington, Fletcher Robinson of Greenville, Crystal Sheppard of Washington, Kiesha Davault of Alabama, James Manning of Washington, and Chris Manning of Grimesland; and great-grandchildren, Vincent Griffin of Washington, Stephen Kathman and Chaz Robinson, both of Greenville, and Kori Manning of Grimesland.
