Of the five buildings at the Washington Industrial Park, three are for sale and two are empty. It’s nice to see a well-thought-out plan come together.

I just read Joe Phipps letter to the editor in Friday’s paper. Man, what a good letter. I say let’s make him president of the United States now. Memorial Day as a holiday, as it was intended, no longer exists. Memorial Day is a holiday for Bubba Six-pack to grill, to cook out, to go on the river, to skip work, for children to miss school. It would be better suited for people to be at work and for children at school where they could be taught about the sacrifices of the veterans, than having a three-day weekend where people die on these roads because of Bubba Six-pack.
