The Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors presented Southside Farms of Chocowinity with the Building a Better Beaufort County Award on May 22, 2012. This award is voted on by the chamber ambassadors and given to a business for their efforts in beautifying the community and making a positive economic impact. Southside Farms, open to the public April through July, raises fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, collards, cucumbers, sweet corn and much more.
