To the Editor:

I want to let the young folks finishing with school or college know that now real life is started. Get honest careers, live a honest life and be honest to all your fellowmen. You will enjoy life to your golden years. Life is what you make it. My life was great and my golden years are some of the best I have lived.

I start off daily with the Washington Daily News in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. Mr. Mike Kelly, the administrator, will be at the patients’ door every day. The staff treats us like kings and queens. About 10 a.m., morning devotion with Verna O’Pharrow; 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., lunch with Dennis Smith on the piano and singing. The evenings: Bingo or some church service. Sometimes we have the Crossroad Band or Stillwater Band. We have something all day long.

We can enjoy our golden years or not. Life is what you make it. It’s your choice, so make the right one. You’re the one who’s got to live it. My life was great, and my golden years are great, too.
