Mrs. Alberta Bonds Owens, 85, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing Rehabilitation Center. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Garden Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Emmitt Godette officiating. Burial will follow in Toodle’s Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon for viewing. The family will receive visitors at the home of her son, Adonis Owens, 511 White Oak Road, Plymouth. Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
