D. Morgan Williams, 70, a resident of 400 Shoreline Drive, Belhaven, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Life-Gate Free Will Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Eric Hill and Pastor Joe Price. Burial will follow in Ryder Hill Cemetery in the Pamlico Beach Community. Terry Clayton, Greg Rowe, Marshall Braddy, Junior Fulford, Nolan Wilkins, Sherwood Braddy, Perry Bonney and Robert Barnes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Wayne Snyder, Alford Wilkins, Charlie Miller, Jim Andrew, Mark Buzzell and Stan Kittrell.

Mr. Williams was born in Washington County on Dec. 16, 1941, to the late David Goodman Williams and Elizabeth Jane Modlin Williams who survives. On April 30, 1994, he married Dean Crawley who survives. He was a 1960 graduate of Plymouth High School and also a graduate of Southern Business University in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Williams was a service technician with Montgomery Ward for many years and was a member of Life-Gate Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Modlin Williams of Plymouth, his wife Dean C. Williams of the home, one son, Brent Williams of Spring Hope, two brothers, Jim Williams and wife Jean of Weaverville and Don Williams and wife Rebecca of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by one brother, Cedric Williams.

The family will receive friends and have a meal following the burial at Ryder Hill Cemetery in the Pamlico Beach Community and other times at the home.
