Mrs. Eula W. Daw

Mrs. Eula Elizabeth Waters Daw, 84, a resident of 1054 Swindell Road, Pantego, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Autumnfield of Belhaven.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven, conducted by the Rev. Allen Harmon. Burial will follow in Belhaven Community Cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: William Daw, Matthew Daw, Charles Daw Jr., Justus Smith, Joseph Smith and Leo King. Steve Midgette and Selby Daw will serve as alternate pallbearers.
Mrs. Daw was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 1, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Ellis Clifton Waters and Mattie Windley Waters. Mrs. Daw worked for over 20 years as a secretary for Coastal Lumber Company. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Belhaven. Mrs. Daw enjoyed visiting area churches in the assembly and attending camp meetings in Windsor. In her spare time, she enjoyed her flowers, gardening, yard work, crocheting and going to Walmart.
Mrs. Daw was married to Vernon Vanwert Daw Sr., who preceded her in death, May 25, 2011.
Mrs. Daw is survived by three sons, Vernon Vanwert Daw Jr. and wife Connie Keech Daw of Pantego, Charles Clifton Daw Sr. of Pantego and his friend Velvet Avery of Washington, Ellis Lynn Daw and wife Rene Brock Daw of Middlesex; six grandchildren, Vanessa Daw Smith and husband Joseph, William Branch Daw, Charles C. Daw Jr. and wife Crystal, Matthew Windley Daw, Ashley Rebecca Daw and Sarah Elizabeth Daw; four great-grandchildren, Justus Smith, Melody Smith, Heath Dutton and Katilyn Dutton, and two sisters, Beulah W. Harris of Raleigh and Tillie W. Tingen of Cary.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven and other times at her home, 1054 Swindell Road, Pantego.
