Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

I hope, finally, Arthur Williams gets the message. We don’t want him in office, whether he’s a Democrat or Republican. I hope now he finally gets the message: stay out of Raleigh.

To the gentleman who said he didn’t care who the death announcement was on the front page: It mattered to his family and friends. He was an outstanding citizen.

I could not disagree more with the editorial that said there was no excuse for not voting. Not voting is voting. In many cases, it is said that people believe the election system is broken and doesn’t deserve their time and effort. In the N.C. House of Representatives race, the voter had to try to vote against the least qualified or against the nastiest campaign.
