Annie Mae Rowe Tetterton

Mrs. Annie Mae Rowe Tetterton, age 83, a resident of 6760 Highway 264 East, Washington, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at Covenant Community Church, Highway 17 North, Washington, conducted by Pastor Harvey Lee Edwards and Rev. Donnie Smith.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Tetterton’s nephews:  Larry Jefferson, David Jefferson, Kenny Jefferson, Jackie Rowe, Tommy Rowe and Mitchell Cutler, will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on October 18, 1928.  She was the daughter of the late William David Rowe and Mitilda Warren Rowe.  Mrs. Tetterton worked as a nurse’s aide for 32 years at Elks Rest Home.   She was a member of the Covenant Community Church.
On August 11, 1947, she married James O. Tetterton, who preceded her in death, August 28, 1998.
She is survived by her children, Betty Alligood, Pat Lewis, Lois Redick, Larry Tetterton and Joyce Tetterton all of Washington, Paula Sawyer of Chocowinity; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Tetterton was preceded in death by a son, William Tetterton; four brothers, Shadie Rowe, Charlie Lee Rowe, Luke Rowe, and David Rowe; and three sisters, Addie Rowe, Lillie Jefferson and Alma Tuten.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
