Lee Montford Hardison

Lee Montford Hardison, 71, died at his Washington home on June 5. He is survived by his wife, Deanna C. Hardison, daughters Molly Spears Hardison of Hatfield, MA, Annalee Ray Hardison of Queens, N.Y., and brother George Edward “Eddie” Hardison of Cherokee, AR, and many loving relatives and friends.
Lee, also known affectionately as “Sonny” and “Monty,” was preceded in death by his father, Henry Tilghman Hardison, and mother, Katy Ella Bland Hardison of Plymouth, NC.
Among his many passions were his fond memories of growing up in Plymouth, NC, charter membership in Plymouth Church of Christ, membership in First Church of Christ, Washington, service in the U.S. Army, earning a degree from Eastern Kentucky University and his pilot’s license, East Carolina University football and baseball and, lest we forget, his unwavering love of the University of Kentucky football and basketball, and his love of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
A family memorial service was held at First Church of Christ, officiated by pastors Steve Hill, Ray West and Maxie Gavin.
