Huey L. Brown

Mr. Huey L. Brown, 96, of 4277 N.C. Highway 32 North, died Dec. 5, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehab Center, Plymouth.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Second Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Hubert Judon officiating. Burial will follow in Second Zion Grove cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born on Oct. 8, 1916, in Washington County. He was the son of the late Milton Brown and Ada Martin Brown. He was a member of Second Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Male Chorus, Combined Choir, Disabled Veteran of Washington County and a member of Golden Crown Lodge #253, Elks of the World. He was veteran of World War II. His wife, Pauline Brown, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son: Wesley Brown, of Windsor; a daughter, Wanda K. Brown, of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday at Toodle’s Chapel and other times at the home.
