RALEIGH (AP) — Legislators say they don’t expect any obstacles when they consider a bill allowing workers to make sure their employers carry workers’ compensation insurance on them.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reported officials from three interested groups agreed to undo a change to a law that made data on employers and their insurance policies private.

The announcement of an agreement among N.C. Rate Bureau, the state Industrial Commission and the N.C. Press Association came Wednesday during a meeting of a special legislative committee studying workers’ compensation.
