The Spirit of Christmas winners have been chosen.
The Spirit of Christmas is a decorating
contest sponsored by the City of Washington.
The winners will receive a $50 credit on their utilities bills (honorable mentions will not receive a credit).
Winners in the business category were:
• NautiLife, 112 W. Main St.
• Select Bank, 155 N. Market St.
Honorable mention status was given to Stewart’s Jewelry, 121 N. Market St.
Winners in the residential category
were:
• Edwards family, 221 Red Oak Drive (Northgate subdivision).
• Singleton family, 409 Alderson (Smallwood subdivision).
• Mayne family, 735 W. Main St. (downtown).
• Whitley family, 405 W. Ninth St.
Honorable-mention status was given to the Litchfield family, 2007 N. Market St.
