Mary Jearline Batchelor Tyndall

Sept. 10, 1939 – Jan. 8, 2013

Mary Jearline Batchelor Tyndall, 73, of Washington, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Born in Duplin County on September 10, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Hettie Miller Batchelor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert Batchelor.

Mrs. Tyndall was a seamstress with Hampton Industries. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Wayne Tyndall; daughter, Tanya T. Hume and husband Scott of Knightdale; grandchildren, Caitlin Hume, Kelsey Hume, and Kaden Hume; great-grandchild, Carson Sabourin; and sister, Arlene B. White and husband Elton of Dover.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Elders Durham Lee and Keith Tyndall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Elder Louis Tyndall, Jr. officiating.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Aseracare Hospice Care of Greenville for the excellent care given to Mrs. Tyndall. Every act of kindness extended to her and to her family was truly appreciated.
