Judith Lassiter Jenkins, 71, passed away January 19, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center. Judith worked as a beautician at Langley Air Force Base in the Hampton Roads area before moving to North Carolina. Though she currently lived in Greenville, NC, she had ties with Edenton, NC, and Washington, NC. She retired from Walmart in Washington in 2011.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys McDaniels Hampton; her father, John A. Hampton, Sr.; a brother, John Alan Hampton, Jr.; and a son, John Robert Stevens.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Rader Nay and husband David of Lumberport, WVa., and Tammy Newman Hall and husband Daryl of Williamston; a son, Jimmy Newman of Greenville; five grandchildren, Travis Nay, Zachary Nay, Nicole Newman, Kasey Hall and Madison Hall, and a brother, Sonny Lassiter and wife Jill of Bentonville, Ark.
Visitation will be held at Biggs Funeral Home of Williamston on Wednesday, January 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. Receiving family and friends at the home of Daryl and Tammy Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
