Mrs. Belinda Gail Alligood “Nana” Banks, age 61, a resident of 548 Hodges Rd., Chocowinity, NC died Sunday March 24, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.
A memorial service will be held 3 pm Thursday March 28, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Ray Webb.
Mrs. Banks was born in Beaufort County on December 14, 1951 daughter of the late Elijah Plum Alligood and the late Lillian Mae Randolph Alligood. She married Jack Mack Banks on January 24, 1984 who survives. Mrs. Banks was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters: Susan Woolard of Washington and Ashley Banks of Chocowinity; a son: Richard “Ricky” Banks of Chocowinity; five sisters: Myrtle Hodges of Washington, Doris Edwards of Chocowinity, Laura Edwards of Chocowinity, Alice Pyle of Greenville and Geneva Beacham of Chocowinity; eight grandchildren: Austin Woolard, Alexis Rogers, Emanuel Rogers, Londyn Keech, Memphis Keech, Lily Mizell, Heather Banks and Nicole Banks and two great grandchildren: Sidney Wright and Cadence Hare. Mrs. Banks was predeceased by three brothers: Michael Alligood, Buddy Alligood and Larry Alligood and a sister: Brenda Woolard.
The family will receive friends at the home.
