Mrs. Ida “Gail” Bell, age 51, a resident of Coy Rd., Washington, NC, died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor David Pooser. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC.
Gail was born in Martin County on August 28, 1961 daughter of the late ES “Junior” Revels and Betty Beddard. She attended Bath High School and later married Wesley Andrew Bell. Gail was self-employed in the domestic care profession. She loved traveling, being outdoors and volunteer work. She enjoyed her dog Angel and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Gail helped start the community garden on Asbury Church Rd.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Bruce Lockwood Gray, Jr. of the home; her daughters, Rebecca Gray Spain and husband David of Washington and Kayla Bell of Vanceboro; her brothers, Richard “Cricket” Keel and wife Lynn of Windsor and Ronnie Keel and wife Angie of Farmville; her sisters, Mary Clayton and husband Arthur of Ransomville and Ann Briggs of Washington; five grandchildren, Adam McLawhorn, Elijah Spain, Hallie Maurer, Ava Gray and Ashley Gray; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Revels and her sister, Hazel Jean Revels.
