George Washington Jones, 93, of Washington and formerly of Vandemere, died Thursday, Sept.12, 2013, at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p..m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Antioch Christian Church with the Revs. Genard Sawyer and Adner Batts officiating. Burial with military honors will immediately follow the service in Hudnell Cemetery. The family is receiving friends and guest at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Elane and Harold Driggers, 347 Jones Road, Vandemere. Arrangements are by Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, New Bern.
