KENNETH W. REASON

July 13, 1954 – Oct. 8, 2013

 

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Reason, age 59, a resident of 941 Old Pamlico Beach Road E., Belhaven, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Tony Krantz. John Kenneth Reason, Keith Allen Reason, Robert Edward Reason, Troy Heath, George Robert Hawkins and Brett Perry will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Reason was born in Washington County on July 13, 1954 to John Baker Reason and Helen Marie Williams Reason who survives. He was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School and attended 2 years at Beaufort Community College. On July 6, 1974 he married Bonnie Lou Hawkins who survives. Mr. Reason was employed with the NC DOT in Washington, served in the United States Army as a Morse code operator and was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.

Survivors include his parents, John and Helen Williams Reason of Washington, his wife, Bonnie Hawkins Reason of the home, three sons, John Kenneth Reason and wife Cortney of Bath and their children, Lindsey and Seth, Keith Allen Reason and wife Roberta of Washington and their children Anthony, Logan and Rowan, who he lovingly called “Munchkin” of Washington, Robert Edward Reason of the home, two sisters, Sharon Bright of Chocowinity, Tina Reason of Goldsboro and family member, Ashley Pritchett of Washington who he called “Sis”. He was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Reason.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his parents, 271 Black Road, Washington.
