Mr. Charles Ernest Jones, Jr., 66, of Williamston, passed away at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Durham, NC. on Saturday, October 19. A native of Williamston, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Charles Ernest Jones and Catherine Bullock Jones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Oliver Gene Jones. He is survived by his sister Ann Jones Powell and husband Clifton of Robersonville. Also surviving are his nephews, Steve Jones and wife Wendy of Williamston; Lee Powell and wife Melissa of Tarboro; Jody Powell and wife Lindsay of Winterville and niece Christina Jones of Williamston. Mr. Jones was very proud of his four great nieces, five great nephews and one great, great niece. A memorial service will be held at Gold Point Church of Christ on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gold Point Church of Christ Ladies Auxiliary, 8563 Hassell Road, Robersonville, NC 27871
