Andrea Blake Linton, age 38, a resident of Garner Rd., Greenville, NC passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Vidant Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice. There will be a celebration of her life Monday, December 2 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service officiated by Tim Turner. The family will receive friends today from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC and other times at the home of Angela Biggs, 3178 Biggs Rd., Pinetown, NC.
Andrea was born May 29, 1975 in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Andy Blake and Linda Woolard Blake who survives.  She was a 1993 graduate of Northside High School and a 1995 graduate of the MLT program at BCCC. Andrea was married to Kevin Linton. She had worked at Beaufort County Hospital as a phlebotomist and MLT and Pungo District Hospital as  a MLT. She was currently employed as a lab analyst with DSM Pharmaceuticals. Andrea was a past member of Pinetown Rescue & EMS, Broad Creek EMS and the transport team for Pungo District Hospital where she was an EMT-I. She enjoyed running, spending time with her family and her childhood friends.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters, Kayley and Laney Linton of the home; her brother, Douglas W. Blake of Williamston; her sister, Angela Blake Biggs and husband Travis and their children, Jack and Katie of Pinetown; her brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Cindy Linton of Raleigh; her father and step mother-in-law, Mickey and Donna Linton of Chocowinity; her stepfather and mother-in-law, Freddy and Lois Lefever of Vanceboro; and her step brother, David Bell of Washington.
The family requests that memorial be made in Andrea’s memory to Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC 27889.
