Mr. Stanley Warren Monk, 58, of 6477 Green Meadow Road, Fayetteville, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at St. Mark AME Zion Church with the Rev. Irving Hickman and Elder Barry Squires Sr. officiating. Burial follows in the Monk family cemetery. The family is receiving friends at the home of Larry and Kay Monk, 16025 N.C. Highway 55, Stonewall. Viewing is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, New Bern, which is in charge of arrangements.
