OBIT LINTON

Edward Christopher “Chris” Linton, age 48, a resident of Jamesville, NC died Saturday March 1, 2014.

 

The family will receive friends 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM Friday March 7, 2014 in the fellowship hall of Union Grove Church of Christ in the Pungo community of Pantego. Private burial for family and close friends will follow at the old home place, in the pecan orchard, located at 1661 Pat’s Road, Pantego. The graveside committal will be officiated by Dennis Davis.

 

Chris was born in Washington County on October 9, 1965 son of the late Sherman Jackson Linton and Annette Bateman Conner who survives. He was a 1983 graduate of Belhaven High School. Chris was the proud owner and operator of Crystal Coast Construction and was currently working on his heating & refrigeration as well as his electrical degrees at Martin County Community College. He was baptized in the Christian faith at St. Clairs Church of Christ of Bath. Chris was proud to be a native of the Pungo community of Pantego.

 

Surviving along with his mother Annette and her husband Wayne Conner of Jamesville are two sisters: Betty Linton Cox of Belhaven and Barbara Linton Cahoon and her husband Joedy of Belhaven; three nieces: Heather Cox Bryant, Laura Ashley Dunbar and Brandy Nichole Cahoon; a nephew: Joseph Jordan and four great nephews: Zachary Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Hunter Bryant and Carter Bryant.

 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the charity of one’s choice.
