DELORES JEAN BRINN

Delores Jean Sadler Brinn of Granite Quarry, N.C. passed away April 29, 2014, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C. with her children by her side.
Mrs. Brinn was born August 20, 1937 in Belhaven, N.C. to the late William Harry Sadler and Nellie Elizabeth Woolard. On February 5, 1956 she married Wilbur T. Brinn, Sr. who preceded her in death on June 24, 2000. Mrs. Brinn was a graduate of J.A. Wilkinson High School in Belhaven. She had previously been employed by Kamlar, J.H. Cooke and Sons. She along with her husband operated two Sears’s franchises in Salisbury, N.C. and Roxboro, N.C before retiring to Belhaven where they operated O’Neal’s Snack Bar for several years.
She is survived by her children, Wilbur T. Brinn Jr. (Ted) and wife Catherine (Cathy) of Zebulon, N.C.; Denise B. Miller and husband James (Jim) of Granite Quarry, N.C. and Stephen J. Brinn (Steve) and wife Sonya of Knightdale, N.C. She had six grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by sisters, Janice Davenport and spouse Clifton Gerard of Belhaven, N.C. and Patricia Sadler of Washington N.C. She was preceded in death by brothers, William H. Jr. (Billy), Benjamin Wayne and James Thomas (J.T.). She also leaves behind her dog, Princess who brought her much comfort and joy over the past 10 years.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
