WASHINGTON NOON ROTARY | CONTRIBUTED
DONATION: Joey Toler, executive director of the Beaufort County Arts Council (BCAC), accepted a $2,500 contribution toward their ongoing major gifts campaign from Washington Noon Rotary’s Reverse Raffle fundraising event chairman Steven Wood. Last year, BCAC purchased the historic Turnage Theater property in downtown Washington as their new home and operations center. BCAC is in the process of gradually expanding their program offerings to reap the benefits of the Turnage and the expanded art gallery, gift shop and administrative offices. In addition to the many wonderful arts and cultural programs BCAC has offered the community for over 40 years, they are also making good use of their new gallery, with the display of various works of art from some exceptionally talented children to the display of art by world-renowned fine artists like Jeff Jakub. The theater also offers many varied genre musical and stage productions mean to appeal to all Beaufort County’s culturally diverse demographics.
