CHARITY: Steven Wood, Washington Noon Rotary (WNR) Reverse Raffle fundraising event chairman, presents Elaine Briley of Ruth’s House, a local domestic violence shelter, with a check for the WNR’s team entry in their “Our Amazing Race” against domestic violence charity event in Washington on May 31, a competition modeled after the popular, similarly named television program. Prizes are $1,000 grand prize to the event winner and $500 to the team that raises the most money for Ruth’s House. Two-person teams must register by May 10 and be 18 years of age or over.
