Louis C. Wynn age 72, a resident of 2148 Pike Road, Pantego, died at his home Saturday, May 3, 2014. Mr. Wynn was born in Martin County, November 2, 1941 the son of the late Sylvester and Annie Lilley Wynn.

Louis married Cordelia Molt Dugger on March 13, 1988. He retired in 2004 from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.  After his retirement he worked as a truck driver for the local farmers. Mr. Wynn was a member of the Plymouth Church of Christ. He had a great love for his family, enjoyed traveling and Bluegrass music.

Mr. Wynn is survived by his wife: Cordelia “Dede” M. Wynn of the home; a daughter: Nan Wynn of Jamesville; two sons: Chan Wynn of Jamesville and Joseph Dugger of Erwin, Tenn.; four brothers:  Larry Wynn and William Wynn of Robersonville; Rufus Wynn of Dunn and Jeffrey Wynn of Bear Grass;  three sisters: Rosie Williams and Faye Modlin of Jamesville;  and Francis Whitfield of Bethel;  six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wynn was preceded in death by seven brothers: Leamon, Joe, Johnny, Willie, Tom, Robert and Bryant Wynn and four sisters: Annie Gray Lilley, Rachel Waters, Irene Lewis and Grace Keeter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Plymouth Church of Christ officiated by Rev. Bob Moulden.  Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery in the Pungo Community. The family will receive friends Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the home of G.L. and Patsy Molt located at 7392 NC Hwy. 99S, Pantego, NC.
