CITY OF WASHINGTON | CONTRIBUTED MEMORIALIZED: Washington Mayor Mac Hodges signed a Memorial Day proclamation May 7. The proclamation commemorates the nation’s heritage and vows to continually support all service members who have fought—from Valley Forge to the Persian Gulf—in pursuit of freedom. The proclamation recognizes the Disabled American Veterans and its auxiliary for the patriotic program planned for May 26 at Veterans Park in Washington.
