Earnestine Boone Aldridge

July 11, 1930 – May 10, 2014

 

Earnestine Boone Aldridge was born July 11, 1930 in Clinton, North Carolina to James (Son) Boone and Sallie Mathis. After high school, she moved to Harlem, New York where she met and married the love of her life, Ray Aldridge, Jr.

Earnestine was a loving mother to three daughters, Youlanda (Renae) Outin, Lucenda Lanette Aldridge, and Deninisia Aldridge and ‘Special Mom’ to many children. Earnestine accepted Christ into her life at an early age. Her passion was God, family, children, sewing, and cooking. She served in the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, volunteered as the wife of a Master Mason, and as a Mother at St. Francis Missionary Baptist Church. In 2004, Earnestine moved to Atlanta, GA.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, brothers (Bobby, William James and Daniel) and sister (Mattie). Earnestine was called ‘Home’ on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

She leaves loving memories for her sister Minnie Lee Hicks, daughters: Youlanda (Renae), Lucenda and Deninisia; grandchildren: Sajata (Adam), Chanel, Charmaine, Sean and Chris; great-grandchildren: Basia, Aaliyah, and Allen; and a great, great-grandchild: An’Asia, a ‘Special Son’, Gerald L. Outin, and a host of family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 2:00 – 6:00pm at

Whitfield & Whitley Chapel, 312 West Martin L. King, Jr. Drive, Washing-ton, NC.

Services: Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:00pm at St. Francis M.B. Church, Blounts Creek, NC.
