Agnes Hamilton “Polly” Britt

Agnes Hamilton “Polly” Britt, 78, of Roper died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.

Born March 31, 1936 in Beaufort County she was the daughter of the late Dennis Hamilton and Daisy Tuten Hamilton and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Britt, Sr.; son, Fred G. Floyd, III; sisters, Peggy Boyd and Pauline Ambrose and brother, Edgar Hamilton. Polly was a retired personnel officer with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and member of Saint’s Delight Church of Christ.

Her family includes her son, John H. Floyd and wife Jo Ann of Plymouth, N.C.; brothers, Talmage Hamilton of Belhaven, N.C., Roland Hamilton of Washington, N.C. and granddaughter, Courtney Floyd.
