OFF TO COLLEGE: On Thursday, June 5, Beaufort County Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers presented two scholarships to local high school seniors. Alma Kathryn Crouch, a student of Pungo Christian Academy, will be attending Campbell University to pursue studies in Pre-Physical Therapy. Quanitra Boomer, of Washington High School, will be attending Shaw University. She plans to transfer to North Carolina A & T State University to pursue studies in Agriculture Extension Services. Both recipients received $1,000 to assist with educational expenses.
