2014 Washington Summer Festival

Schedule of Events

Friday

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dockdogs competition

5 p.m. Festival opens: food, arts and crafts, amusement rides and games on Stewart Parkway until 9 p.m.

7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, perform at Festival Park

9 p.m. Fireworks display over the Washington waterfront

 

Saturday

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dockdogs competition

10 a.m. Festival opens: food, arts and crafts, amusement rides and games on Stewart Parkway until 9 p.m.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lowe’s Kids’ Wooden Building Projects in front of Chamber Building

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Little Washington Sailing School boat rides, ages 10 to 18

4 p.m. Live music from hometown band K-OS, Festival Park

5:30 p.m. Live music from CAPS, featuring Chuck Phillips, Festival Park

7:30 p.m. The Mikele Buck Band takes the stage at Festival Park

 

Sunday

8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dockdogs competition

5:30 p.m. “Meet the Conductor” pre-symphony reception at Festival Park (tickets for reception are $35/person)

5:30 p.m. Emerald City Big Band at Festival Park

6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. New/used instrument drop off for Beaufort County Schools

6 p.m. Instrument Zoo—hands-on demonstration of musical instruments for children

7:30 p.m. North Carolina Symphony (free concert, in case of rain will be held at Washington High School Performing Arts Center)
