Pastor Douglas P. Lapp
June 16, 1968 – June 30, 2014

Pastor Douglas Paul Lapp, age 46, associate pastor of Wesleyan Pentecostal Church, Hwy 264 East, Washington, died Monday, June 30, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 4, 2014 at Wesleyan Pentecostal Church, conducted by Pastor Daniel Woods, Pastor Michael Caudle and Pastor Dollas Messer.  Burial will follow in Snowd Branch Church of God Cemetery.

The Men of the Church will serve as pallbearers.

Pastor Lapp was born in New Port Richey, Florida on June 16, 1968.  He was the son of the late Paul Edward Lapp and Nola Jean Deskins Lapp.  Pastor Lapp had served at Wesleyan Pentecostal Church since 1993.  He also owned his own business, “Quality Services”, which included building new homes and remodeling existing homes.

Pastor Lapp loved helping people.   He was a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity.  Pastor Lapp had a passion for missions especially those who helped children.  In his spare time, he enjoyed going camping with his family.

On August 20, 1988, he married the former Angela Kay Ross, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are four sons, Nathan Paul Lapp, Andrew Matthias Lapp, Philip Aaron Lapp, and Noah Ross Lapp all of Washington; two brothers, Ronald Lapp and wife, Pam of Beverly Hills, Florida and Roger Lapp and wife Jo Ann of Inverness, Florida; and one sister, Paula Jean Lapp Jackson of Porter, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home, 552 Brown Road, Washington.
